In your Light

in your light

Inspired by her time as a volunteer at Missing People, an independent charity organisation that supports those who are missing and their families, Annalie Grainger’s In Your Light is an emotionally charged story of secrets, sisterhood and the search for redemption.

Sisterhood can mean different things to different people.  This story shows how the actions of others impact the main character Lil and her sister Mella.  How we blame ourselves for things which may not be our fault.

There are several relationships intertwined in this book.  From the more recognised family dynamics which have been interrupted, to the more complicated dynamics of a religious sect and the intentions of their leader.

I was gripped by this story, there was so much going on and I felt so bad for Lil.  The last few chapters are a rollercoaster I couldn’t wait to get finished.
